Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Luxemetry ("we", "us") collects when you use https://luxemetry.com, how it is used, and what choices you have.

1. Information you give us directly

Nothing, unless you email us. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no forms that transmit data from this site.

Calculator inputs are processed locally in your browser. Our application code does not submit the values you enter — such as vehicle prices, down payments, rates, or mileage assumptions — to a server, and we do not store them. Hosting, analytics, and advertising providers may still receive the standard technical signals described below when their services are active.

If you contact us by email, we receive whatever you include in that message and retain it only as long as needed to respond and keep a record of the correction or request.

2. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard technical information needed to deliver and secure the site. If optional analytics are enabled with your consent, they may also measure:

• IP address, in truncated or anonymized form where supported
• Browser type, operating system, and device category
• Pages visited, time on page, and referring website
• Approximate location derived from IP, at country or region level

This is used in aggregate to understand which pages are useful and to keep the site working. It is not used to build a profile of you as an individual.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We use, or may enable, cookies and browser storage in three categories:

• Strictly necessary. Remembering your cookie consent choice so we do not ask again. This cannot be disabled without breaking that behavior.
• Analytics. Optional aggregate usage measurement, when enabled.
• Advertising. Set by third-party advertising partners, described in the next section.

You can decline non-essential cookies using the banner shown on your first visit and reopen it at any time using "Cookie settings" in the footer. You can also clear or block cookies through your browser. The calculators work identically either way.

4. Advertising

This site may be supported by display advertising after approval. When advertising is enabled, partners such as Google and its certified partners may use cookies and device identifiers to serve and measure ads, subject to your consent where required.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies more broadly at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu. Declining advertising cookies on this site does not remove ads; it means they are served without personalization.

5. Legal basis for processing (EEA and UK)

Where the GDPR applies, we process strictly necessary data on the basis of legitimate interest in operating a functional website, and analytics and advertising data on the basis of your consent, which you give or decline through the cookie banner and may withdraw at any time by clearing site data.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request its correction or deletion, object to or restrict its processing, request portability, and withdraw consent previously given. Residents of California have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what is collected and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

To exercise any right, email hello@luxemetry.com. Because we hold almost no identifiable data, most requests can be resolved quickly. Requests relating to data held by advertising partners should be directed to those partners, whose opt-out links are above.

7. Data retention and security

Aggregate analytics data is retained on a rolling basis and is not linked to identifiable individuals. Email correspondence is retained only as long as necessary. The site is served over HTTPS. No calculator data is stored anywhere, because none of it leaves your device.

8. Children

This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International transfers

The site is hosted on infrastructure that may process data in the United States and other jurisdictions. Where data is transferred out of the EEA or UK, our providers rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
